Smoke
has the ability to get behind walls, floors and ceilings. The best approach
is to get rid of any burned or charred material, then clean all surfaces
with RX101 Deodorizing Cleaner.
Since wood acts like a sponge, any open wood surfaces should be painted or sealed.
If not sealed the smell of smoke will wick back out again.
Next, put an exhaust fan in one end of the space (attic?) and fog RX
100 100% Pure Airicide Odor Counteractant in the basement. The key is to
draw the RX100 up through the house, including the
dead air spaces behind the walls, following the path of the smoke.
