Other
quaternary disinfectants have failed EPA requirements against M. Tuberculosis
because the TB bacillus is covered by a tough protective shell that the
typical quat cannot pierce. The superior penetration of RX 75 allows
it to quickly break through this shell and to kill the disease-causing
bacilli, just as it kills a broad range of other Gram negative and Gram
positive bacteria, just as it kills HIV 1 (the AIDS virus) and kills
pathogenic fungi. But RX 75 is not just to guard against cross infection.
